From 1950 onwards, based on the need for research and development of the industrial branch of oil and gas in Romania, the foundations are set for the establishment of the Geological and Geophysical Prospecting Company for Hydrocarbons (IPGGH). In 1991, the Company changed its name to Prospectiuni SA. The transformation and development process of the Company continued by expanding the geophysical data acquisition services and modernizing the methods and equipment used in carrying out the activity.

Agricultural, urban, mountainous, forested areas, regions with dense hydrographic networks, deserts, or remote areas with rugged terrains have never been an insurmountable obstacle for our teams of professionals in obtaining the results desired by customers, in a timely manner and according to the rules for health and safety of work and the environment protection.

Prospectiuni is a leader in using state-of-the-art equipment like INOVA QUANTUM NODES recording system. From our head office and support facility in Bucharest, the seismic division of Prospectiuni SA is able to provide seismic crews fully equipped for 2D&3D seismic data acquisition. We have more than 70 years of extensive experience working in rough terrain including desert, mountain, cultivated and forested areas. Our crews are able to successfully operate in densely populated urban areas and are well versed in using a variety of energy sources including controlled detonation, vibroseis, airgun and accelerated weight drop.
