02/03/2020

Between September 2019 and February 2020, Prospectiuni executed and successfully completed in the south-east of Romania, the largest 3D seismic acquisition project ever carried out in Europe - 1,555 square km, consisting of 123,500 data recording points, 87 900 generation points (impulsive source) and ensuring a nominal fold of 240.
Using a recently acquired nodal recording system (INOVA - Quantum), with a total of 40,000 channels in stock, the Prospectiuni team achieved an effective average production exceeding expectations: 686 recordings / day.
In addition to the permanent monitoring of 25,000 - 30,000 operational units in the field every day, the activities also involved the management, on average, of another 3,000 canals daily: 1,000 canals to be planted in the field, 1,000 canals to be recovered from the field and 1,000 channels from which to download the recorded data.
The work took place in an area with intensive agriculture. As such, during the operations, the main challenge was the interference with the agricultural works that took place in the area, especially in the months of September - December.

After the completion of the works, the client expressed his full appreciation to the Prospectiuni team for the successful completion of such a vast project, in a short period of time, and without deviating from the contractual requirements and the quality and HSE standards.
